In December 2023, we were appointed as part of an interdisciplinary team by Wandsworth Council to prepare a Masterplan for Clapham Junction, which aims to create a strategic framework for the redevelopment of the station. A crucial component of our brief involves ensuring improvements to the station and wider area benefit the local community and businesses, establishing Clapham Junction as a vibrant place enjoyed by residents, visitors, and those passing through.

Led by Weston Williamson Architects, the project team brings extensive experience and includes ARUP, Spacehub, Alan Baxter Associates, Greengage, Core Five, Turley, and Spinall Verdi.

Last month, local businesses and stakeholders in Clapham Junction came along to the first drop-in event at Battersea Library to “Meet the Design Team” event where they were able to share their concerns and priorities for development in the area. The team are currently preparing a series of options that explore how best to overcome the challenges the station presents as well as assessing how local development sites could benefit the wider community.
