We were invited to assist All People All Places (APAP), a charity providing emergency accommodation and support to people facing homelessness in the London boroughs of Haringey and Enfield. Having secured funding from the Night Shelter Transformation Fund, they needed to appraise potential sites for a new facility better suited to the specific needs of their clients.

We visited APAP’s existing shared facility in Pymmes Park to assess their activities, as well as viewing exemplar day centres else wherein London to establish a set of design considerations. Our goal was to create a high-level design brief and costings to inform their Capital Fund bid for refurbishing a new premises, appraising several proposed sites for opportunities and constraints.

After carrying out design proposals for two shortlisted premises, we prepared a vision document to support the funding application.Presented as an illustrative study, the document explained the client’s brief and spatial requirements, outlining phasing potential for funding, flexibility of design for changing needs and growth potential for the organisation and its community outreach.
