Jas appointed Ilford's Town Architect

Jas has recently been selected by the Mayor of London to act as Ilford's Town Architect, as part of a two-year pilot scheme to improve highstreets and public spaces across the capital. Jas has been appointed alongside a brilliant cohort of 10 other Mayor's Design Advocates, each of whom will be responsible for a different neighbourhood and tasked with ensuring new buildings and public spaces benefit all Londoners by promoting quality and inclusion in the built environment.

Jas will be working closely with colleagues and officers at the London Borough of Redbridge, to promote development that responds to specific local needs and opportunities. This includes improving access to existing green infrastructure, securing the high street's continued renewal, celebrating local heritage and diversity, and capitalising upon the connectivity Crossrail offers.
